It was so worth it! We had our own helper coming and taking our food requests and bringing us delicious treats and extra towels. It was such a relaxing experience I absolutely recommend it! It came with a few amenities besides the private cabana, including bottles of water cold in the fridge, a remote control and a tv for vegging if hiding in the cabana from the sun when it was too much and a large bowl of fresh fruit to enjoy while relaxing and chilling out. They are typical Orance County snobs-for no reason! Someone needs to please tell them, they are the hired help and should be polite & respectful and then people will be polite & respectful in return. Aside from the staff, we were not allowed to use the pool because we were not staying at the hotel. We also were not allowed to order lunch or snacks or champagne for our usually fabulous spa experience. I hate to argue with Samantha Brown, but its not all that.  You should try it I think, its just a matter of taste.
