The senseis have a great rapport with their students, both children and adults. They are so helpful and supportive in helping you achieve your goals and they make you feel like family.  They also do several activities outside of regular classes that make it even more fun like training at a park in the spring and training at the beach in the summer!  For women intrested in training in martial arts, this is the place to be! He once told me the best part about soccer was "when it was over."  One day he told me he wanted to try karate like me (I have been taking karate classes at MAI for four years), so we signed him up to try it out.  He has been training at MAI for almost a year now and he loves it.  He recently created an "All About Me" poster for his class at school and he listed karate as one of his top two favorite things to do.  He really likes Sensei Butler and Sensei Grant.  They're very patient with the kids and they have fun with their training.Sensei Manos and his staff are very professional and helpful.  They keep the dojo very clean and it is a pleasant family atmosphere. My son and I have been attending classes for nearly six months now and it's really been an amazing experience.  My son tried t-ball, soccer and piano before Karate and this is the first discipline/sport that he's really developed a passion for.  The dojo is always immaculately clean, the instructors are  great with children and adults and it's just a wonderful place to be two nights a week.  I love the chance i have to do some father-son bonding time during our karate lessons as well.  I highly  recommend MAI. Great, clean facility and the instructors are wonderful with the kids... Sensei Evan Manos and the other instructors are great and treat everyone so well. I have been involved in the martial arts for many years myself and this is one of the best dojos (schools) in So Cal for sure.
