> We had Signature Design Center do a major kitchen & first floor renovation project for our new home.  They removed two load-bearing walls, replaced a window, removed 4 rooms worth of mismatched tile and replaced it with hardwood, installed cabinets, a backsplash, and appliances, did all the plumbing and electrical work, and managed all of the engineering work, inspections, and all of the work which was in house.  It was a huge project and took just over two months to complete.The project seemed to take forever, but we couldn't be happier with the end result.  I certainly can't fault Signature Design for the timeframe - this remodel was very extensive and was bound to take some time to complete.  We started out working with our designer, Ozzy Fernandez.  He was very helpful and always seemed to be excited about the project, which definitely gave us a feeling that we were in good hands.  He first produced several layout options, after which we collaborated to refine one of the designs into the final plan for our space.  Because that plan required the removal of a couple of load-bearing walls, Ozzy arranged for an engineer to provide input on the design.  We ended up with something that looks really great.  Ozzy also accompanied us to help pick out granite and backsplash options.  His advice was very helpful to us - trying to pick from hundreds of options can be daunting, but his experience and expertise were immeasurably useful.

> Minus points if it was possible. PLEASE PLEASE steer away from this company!!! Poor organization, lack of communication with the client and amongst their own staff (blaming each other and never themselves when something goes wrong), AWFUL craftsmanship (getting things done the shortcut way, instead of the right way) to save money, always late or delayed to EVERY appointment. Something went wrong in every step of the process, there was absolutely NO QUALITY CONTROL.  Often times, no one return our calls or texts. We were never kept in the loop as to what was getting done during the week. We were REALLY getting tired of being ignored. They don't clean up after themselves, protect what they've already done (so our installed cabinets ended up getting dented or scratched everytime they came back to do something else in the kitchen). The owner Fred made promises but never followed through with it. He never returned our inquiries like he promised. It was an ABSOLUTE nightmare working with these people, PLEASE PLEASE don't put yourself through the misery. They also have a store in Anaheim on State College. STAY AWAY!
