He suffered terribly because of it and we paid him. I wish Vets would STOP saying they are experts with rabbits (who are totally DIFFERENT than dogs and cats)!!! They are totally different and very delicate and require knowledge and experience. They are the 3rd most popular companion in the USA, yet treatment is archaic, especially in Shasta County and Vets are not updating their educational requirements to learn and treat appropriately. They did an X-ray of her leg and sent her home without a splint. They said her leg was fractured. When we brought her back they splinted her leg and said it would heal in 4 weeks. After 2 months, 5 casts and almost $1,500 later we decided to get a second opinion. A new X-ray showed the bone was completely broke and there was no way it would heal with a splint. Now we are facing amputation of her leg. Anderson Vet told us her leg was healing and she would only have to wear the splint a few more weeks. They never did a second X-ray, they only felt her leg and told us it was healing. You will find all the staff from the time you enter their beautiful new facility to be caring & interested in your pet getting the best care.  I've had to make the ultimate decision for several of my pets over the years and they have always been so helpful with such a difficult time and have made a very bad event as easy as possible.  I have the utmost confidence in all the vets, have had emergencies over the years and they have always taken my dog/cat asap. I have read reviews from people and I wonder whom they are and what planet are they from??? Why would anybody talk so of a clinic that has so much compassion for you and your pet. I have been treated so kindly by the front staff and also the girls and guys that work the rooms, they have been so helpful in the hard  decision I had to make,and answering questions and even bringing me a cool wash cloth and a glass of cold water when I was crying and upset!  And the sympathy card that they ALL signed even the doctors was amazing!
