The apartments are a horrible place to live. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE. There is lots of violence in the area.  I was robbed at gun point at the stairs of my apartment.  My car was broken in to multiple times, and gas stolen from my vehicles multiple times,and a headlight was stolen from my car.  I was ok with all the pot that was being smoked around there, but now there are lots of cocaine, crack, and meth users.  So hide your valuebles and be sure to get renters insurance if you think of moving over there.I had done work for Park place,  the company that owns oakwood village and let me say, they are a shady company.  The owner, DALe FR@$#, who lives in ALAMO, would skip out on paying for permits for work needed on his properties, I know because he locked my out of a commercial unit he owns that was having work done on it, because he thought a inspector was around his property.  I have  layed carpet in a unit that was being turned over to the new tenant that day, and the walls were so nasty(dirt, blood, i think a booger too) just nasty.  I have seen  their employees, install the nastiest piece of sheet rock, with mold all over it before a new tenent moved in.(not very healthy)  They cut back on their garbage pick up, so garbage would overflow into the streets, the smell is very foul. When i moved in i signed a lease and signe a piece of paper saying my unit was clean and ready.  It took them over a year to fix it, and it still never worked properly, the astricle below the door was never fixed in five years, allowing dirt to flow free into the apartment for five years, then they charge me for dirty walls, amazing.  There was a lady working for PG@E that told me that PG@E offered to help oakwood village with certain things like the astricle and sealing windows, airgaps, for free and the owner turned it down.  I would have $200+ electricity bills on a 2 bedroom apartment, when i know people who have houses 2 times the size and have cheaper electric bills.   I can go on and on about the bad experiences i have had and seen at OAKHOOD Villages.  I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT MOVING THERE.","rating":5,"date_published":"2010-13-07"}]}
