My Ob (not Dr. Villarosa) missed my delivery as well and didnt have anybody covering. The nurses were scrambling to get a Dr. in the room and I delivered with the nurse! I now follow with Dr. Villarosa and yes I have to wait past my appointment time, but well worth it. He talks to me like a person, not a number. No matter how behind he is, he still spends as much time as I need to address all my concerns. *12/11/2009 via Direct* --- **bella1733** - 2/5 > I was already a bit uncomfortable with the idea of a male gynecologist. Then he walks in wearing sandals with his lab coat unbuttoned. To make matters worse I was already waiting for him for about thirty minutes past my appointment time. Also, what really upset me was that his cell phone rang really loudly and he just walked out of the room, twice to answer his phone. I realize that he is very busy but that is why there is office staff, to answer his calls and take messages. He did know a lot about what he was talking about which was nice and he seemed concerned with my general condition so it just depends on if you want to try someone new. I don't know if I want to stay with this doctor but they were really quick on booking my ultrasound, getting blood work and being available for appointment which were definite plus's. *Invalid Date via Direct* --- **dre\.\.\.day** - 5/5 > I had a really complicated pregnancy. He was kind and walked me through some very uncomfortable situations. He acted like more than a doctor, he actually had compassion for my situation! I also appreciated that he remembered me each time we met. It was more comfortable that way, and I really like the ladies in his office now. Good luck finding any doctor you don't have to wait for these days. He is one of the few doctors who service Medi-Cal Moms. That is always a daunting task because his roster is always so large. The waits were nothing more than the norm for a doctor that serves so many areas and hospitals. What mattered more to me was the quality of the service. He wasn't even present for the birth of my baby, and I had to deliver with a different doctor.
