> Bargain Box is staffed totally by Assistance League of Bakersfield volunteers.  It has the lowest prices and the best stuff in town.  The hours are 11am to 3pm Monday through Saturday.  All the money from sales goes right back into the community  through Operation School Bell (new school clothes for about 3000 area children annually), Operation Hugs (provides teddy bears to emergency responders for traumatized children), Operation Opportunity (provides clothing for adults for job interviews and new jobs), and annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors for college.  Come shop!  I know you won't be going home empty handed.
