Prior to taking my neighbor (who had just moved to Bakersfield from Texas) into the Emporium, he and I went to a retail chain to use his gift card on some boots. After two different employees at the chain store said that they had never heard of the LUCHESE brand and one added that he couldnt believe he was working in a \"sh^t-kick#R store with these \"hicks coming in trying to dress\", we gave the gift card to a person in line. 10 minutes later we were parked near \"THE BIG RED BOOT\". The Emporium employees greeted us and found everything my neighbor needed. They also had no problem calling in a special apparel order and basically treated us like old friends. Patient, kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Those qualities coupled with the fact that Emporium Western the kind of place that embodies the 5 star rating status.
