I had the AC on and the window open to let the room air out... and the owner (who works in the office) called MY room and told me to "turn off the ac, close the window or leave" JUST HORRIBLY UNREASONABLE. I WILL NOT BE A GUEST IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN, THERE ARE OTHER HOTELS COMPARABLE IN PRICE LITERALLY RIGHT DOWN THE STREET.. The entire experience was a pleasure. The rooms are somewhat small I suppose but so comfortable size no longer seemed to matter. The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and is the new ultimate for my comparison purposes. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. The stay was so positively memorable I would travel to Bakersfield just to stay there. Nice basic accommodations to catch a few zzz's before continuing on to visit family. Continential breakfast was good (3 kinds of cereal, danishes, muffins, juice, fresh fruit, etc) but family before us cleaned out everything portable stuffed in their pockets. Accepted pets which was reason for picking motel. Only charged f.ve dollars for small dog. Front desk was VERY helpful trying to set up wi-fi in room and close captioning on the TV.
