The car was having difficulty starting and was stalling in traffic.  D&G billed me $500 for replacing the fuel pump.  Afterward the symptoms continued.  I took the car to another mechanic who also replaced the fuel pump (!).  This time the car ran perfectly afterwards.  The second mechanic claimed the fuel pump he took out was NOT a new fuel pump.  Therefore it appears that D&G charged me for work that was not done.  When I spoke to D&G about this, they said they would \"speak to their warranty representative\" (this was not an issue of the new fuel pump failing--it was about my being billed for work that was never done).  In any case, I never received as much as a dime in compensation.  The only reason I'm giving D&G a two-star instead of a one-star is that I have used them for the last two years with no previous problems.","rating":2,"date_published":"2017-13-11"},{"author_name":"Gerald P.","review_text":"If I could give them a minus 10, I would.  The most dishonest auto repair I have ever been to.  Changed our wheels on the BMW from front to back .  They are never to be changed front to back, the sizes of the wheels are different.  They denied this and when we took it in they had tacks on the driveway , they knew exactly what time we were coming.  they switched the tires and then denied it.  Our Son saw them do it, and the owner got in my Sons face for telling  the owner what  he saw.  These people are totally dishonest, do  not go there, if you value your car, and expect any honesty.  They also put brakes on our car and the type they put on do not match our car, according to BMW. The owner is well-versed in all things with engines and motors, and even has teaching experience!  He clearly explains everything, provides opportunity for financing, and keeps his establishment immaculate!  He offers unheard of warranties on labor and parts, nation-wide.  He and his techs are knowledgable, and respectful to all customers.
