He and I became friends and when time permited we would sit in his office laughing and talking about traveling around the world,fishing and life in general If I had an issue that required a specialist, he would refer me. I was shocked to find out he passed away and I will miss him and his great sense of humor. I received wonderful care from him and was devastated when he left that clinic. Im truly shocked by the venomous reviews on here. While some complaints may be valid, it seems like a lot of them stem from ignorance. First of all, he isn't "just a nurse". He's a certified nurse practitioner which means that he can do almost everything an MD can do. As for being made to wait an hour or more to see him, he has very little to do with that. The blame lies primarily with the front office staff (they do love double booking). The nurses said I was Scott’s patient but I repeatedly asked to see the real doctor Jose Sanchez M.D. However, the nurses would let Scott know what I wanted, he would then come and take my chart, and then I was forced to seeing him again. I finally went to another clinic to get a second opinion. The other doctor advised me that my diabetes was not controlled and that was causing all this bad symptoms. It has been 2 months with this new doctor I fell so much better I will never go to Scott again. My diabetes is know under control.
