After they quoted me 700 and something, they had my car in pieces and wanted more money for parts I did not need because they couldn't get the one part I needed,they were going to buy the entire assembly and make me pay for those parts and and labor to put it all in. I argue with them about the pricing and they said okay we won't charge you for the extra parts but when I got my car back it would not stop vibrating. I took it back to them twice and they said I had a broken motor mount. What they did not tell me was there was all kinds of wiring issues that were popping up passcodes that anyone in automotive would have caught. The dealer told me there's no way you can miss these codes.... a mechanic show me where somebody cut with a box knife right into my wiring harness. I would never let anybody I know take a vehicle to Pep Boys. I could find a dozen people right now who will say they are Crooks and will rip you off and your car will never be the same after you leave there. Not only are they extremely helpful, but Tim Wells, the general manager, is very supportive, allowing local nonprofits hold car washes in the Pep Boys parking lot. We are very appreciative and will continue to do all of our car repair shopping at Pep Boys. If you stop by this Saturday, AfriPeace Chico will be holding a car wash from 12-3 raising money to fund a student community service journey to Ethiopia, Africa, leaving July 7th. *1/7/2014 via Direct* --- **halfbaked** - 1/5 > Thanks Pepboys, DumbassesNeeded to have a car smoged? called on saturday all booked up, but wide open on sunday! great made an appointment for 1:30.sunday at 1:20 counter person told me had no appointment. I have a very simple name but dumb guy could not get it right, spelled it for him then wrote it down and told him I am in there computer system! Magicaly it appeared? then told me it takes over an hour? Other shop have never taken over 20 min.Almost an hour later they call me and say they don't have the tools to smog my car? no tools, there's a store on other side?
