We had decided to get married in Padua because of the gorgeous location and venue, as well as the DELICIOUS food. Food is one of the main topics in a wedding; if food sucks, then everyone will talk about it. Padua has amazing chefs making food better than Michellin 3-star restaurants. ALL our guests talked about how delicious the food was, even the salads!Our wedding was exactly how we imagined it would be, everything was perfect and the staff made sure we had everything we needed to make our night magical. Jasmine assisted us throughout the entire process and made it so simple and easy! I grew up local to Padua Hills Theatre, and always dreamed of having my wedding here someday. I never thought that dream would become a reality! We were not going to go on a tour because I thought it would be out of our price range, but Richard gave me a call and worked with us to make it happen. My husband and I toured several venues, but none of them felt like "this was it." Pretty quickly into our wedding tour with Jasmine, my husband leaned over to me and whispered, "We have to find a way to make this happen!". My heart was so happy! We immediately booked with Jasmine, who was AMAZING to work with! She responded to my 100s of emails over the course of 11 months of wedding planning with promptness and kindness. She went above and beyond. Jasmine, thank you for making Nick, Conor and I feel so welcome from the moment we met you!As our planning progressed, everyone kept telling me how they couldn't believe I didn't have a wedding coordinator, which started to stress me out, but in the end, I didn't need one! Their team is amazing! Tammy was such a pleasure to work with. She took my vision and brought it to life. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was, that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too. Watching our wedding video allowed me to truly appreciate the small details that Tammy and the staff did. Tammy checked on me multiple times while getting ready, and told me to take deep breaths and to stay calm. Tammy, thank you, you are amazing at what you do!Everything truly ran so smoothly. I don't think we had the typical "something wrong always happens at a wedding" moment, and if we did, our day of coordinator (I can't remember her name :( ) made sure we didn't know about it. She made sure my husband and I always had a drink in hand, she served us our food and even helped bustle my dress. She also made sure we had champagne and fruit in our bridal suite while we were all getting ready.We had our ceremony in the garden and it was magical! We got married at the end of November, so the sunset around 4:45. You were able to see the lights in the trees and the candles in our cylinders. Our photos on the terrace were beautiful with the sunset behind us. All of our photos came out amazing. The venue has so many beautiful spots. They are all so unique but made for great photos!The food, oh my goodness, blew all of our guests out of the water. Everyone kept saying "This isn't your typical wedding food!". They even packed us up a to-go box for us to enjoy the following day!Entertainment Express was amazing! Brett was such a pleasure to work with. He answered all my emails promptly and gave us great advice on how to have more dance time. He MCed our ceremony and reception and did an outstanding job, Everyone told me the music was great and that they wished they had more time to dance.The only thing I wish we would have done was to extend our time. The evening goes by so quickly, that by the time we made our rounds and did all our photos, it was the last song of the night. I've watched our wedding video and have looked at our gallery multiple times, which brings a wave of emotions. I truly get to relive the most perfect and beautiful day. This place is amazing. This was the second venue we saw and quickly decided it was the right venue for us. The place is magical, no need for much outdoor decor as the trees are covered in lights. They have an outstanding customer service, great food, drinks, etc., and the vendors they work with are great too. The venue is in a residential area and it is a bit of a trek from the freeway. The views from this venue are phenomenal, especially at sunset.The outdoor wedding venue is adorable and has elegant trees to provide shade and a natural feeling. The indoor ballroom looks like it was a originally a music auditorium. It is a long room with very high ceilings and nice chandeliers. After attending that wedding, I knew that when it came to be my turn, this venue would be in the running.Fast forward a year to the engagement, I took my fiancé to this venue first. He loved everything! I knew we wouldn't find a venue like this, but to be safe, we looked anyway. 9 venues, and not one offered what we wanted or had that look we were going for. We wanted something historical and had charm and character. Above all that, it had everything. I had seen other places, but none compared to this venue! It was large enough to host both ceremony and reception. I didn't really want to be driving between venues and this place was perfect and up in the foothills away from city life!! It was also a great spot with PLENTY of beautiful spots for your wedding photos! It was GORGEOUS! You feel like you are up in nature, which is what I was going for. We have gotten so many compliments about this venue! There are 2 larger outside (uncovered) areas for the ceremony, one on a terrace overlooking the hills and city below and one in a tree covered courtyard with gazebo. There are also 2 indoor areas for smaller weddings. My wedding had about 140 people, so only both outside options were available to accommodate my guests. On your wedding day, you have the run of the entire campus! Which is a lot of roaming space for you and your guests! They never have 2 weddings going on at the same time! Which was great! They do have speakers everywhere for ambient music! We had drinks in the lobby, there is a bar there, and had jazz music playing there, while outside in the courtyard area was more classical style music. It was really nice and elegant! They do have in-house catering and DJ's , which you are required to use, but BOTH were PHENOMENAL! I could not be happier with both! DJ's (Entertainment Express, will be in a separate review). The food was really very good! They have plenty of options as far as food goes! Make sure you have someone pack you some food to go because we didn't get to eat due to the business of the day that we were hungry when we got home at the end of the night! Once it was time to eat at the reception, the staff had our plates hot and ready to eat at our sweetheart table, which was really nice! But people steal you away for photos, so it was hard to sit and eat anything! But we got so many compliments on the quality of the food! They had us go in for a food and cake tasting and that was really fun! It felt like date night! This "food tasting" is actually a meal, so go hungry! The staff is really helpful, they really know what they are doing and have an endless supply of suggestions and recommendations for a gorgeous and smooth wedding day! They set up the food tasting, the planning meetings, the rehearsal, everything! They were wonderful! Our wedding day was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I've found that the venues that are family owned seem to be more genuine and caring, and Padua Hills was no different. Padua Hills has a great team and we literally communicated with at least seven of their staff--mainly Jennifer--who patiently answered all of our questions and accommodated our requests. Deciding on linens and colors is not our favorite thing to do, but they were great in walking us through their vast inventory. This place seemed perfect for our wedding day, and the overall Vintage theme we were going for. Along with beautiful outdoor gardens, water fountains, fireplaces, and spectacular views. It screamed charm to me. A "fairytale/take you back in time" feel. The theatre ballroom indoors where the receptions are held will absolutely take your breath away and your guests!We went to view the venue in person and it was all we expected plus more. After seeing it there was no looking at any other place. This was the first and only venue we looked at in person.Throughout the planning process, Padua's whole team is incredible. They make sure everything during your planning process is organized and they truly love what they do. They are experienced and know what they are doing! Jasmine helped me through probably hundreds of questions I stumbled upon throughout the 1+ Year of planning our wedding. Tammy is the coordinator and she is an ANGEL! She loves what she does and will do anything to make sure your day runs smoothly and as perfect as possible.The food is delicious and we had no complaints! All of our guests said it was the best food at a wedding they've ever had. We had chicken and ribeye, both amazing! And their appetizers, no matter what you select are all delicious!The big day, everything ran so so smoothly and perfect, as anyone would want on their wedding day. Tammy was AMAZING, always checking in on the girls and guys as they are getting ready, calming nerves, bringing anything you need to help you in any way she can.Their DJ and MC's are great! They coordinate and manage all of the announcements and music, all helping everything come together so smooth and perfect.The ballroom was set up PERFECT, exactly what I imagined it to be.All in all, obviously - My husband and I still can't get over how perfect this day was for us.
