> Five years ago, I found myself on a limited fixed income with a minor to care for so I chose the cheapest apartment I could find in Clovis on Alamos and Peach, just off of Shaw. After all, it wasn't ''Fresno''! I quickly discovered that area of Clovis is indeed run by gangs, drug riddled and overrun with homeless squatters. As for Peach land Apartments itself, I couldn't walk out my door without stumbling on to a drug buy in progress. After few years, it changed management and one by one, they began changing the due date of the rent from the fifth to the third, even though they were very aware that many of the tenants there were on SSI, and didn't get paid until the third. They began charging everyone late fees. They also now charge extra for parking and do not make reasonable accomindations for people with disabilities. As a person with a disability, I reached out to an advocacy group who in turn reached out to, the management company of Peachland Apartments. Upon talking to the on site manager, they came back and told the advocacy group that I was a great tenant that they didn't want to loose, AND I was a liar! In addition to all of the above, there are ,major plumbing issues such as the upstairs garbage disposal backing up every time into my sink. Management said there was nothing they could do. Pipes were always bursting, so one never knew if there would be water or not. Some tenants let homeless and/or drug dealers hang out at their residences which adds to the constant noise because the walls and ceilings are so thin Most of the neighbors are rude, loud and inconsiderate. The area of Alamos and Peach  in Clovis is a ghetto of which Peachland Apartments is the idiot king. Do NOT move there, especially if you are disabled or have minor children. Incidentally, the living environment we found ourselves in COMBINED with the esteemed Clovis school district, GREATLY contributed to the delinquency of my minor. Just saying...
