Plus had to go back on same day because they did not totally seal the windshield. Gave me the run around, always a ill call back and nothing then was told the glass was ordered deposit was put and then no glass. Was told they don’t know when it’s coming in and to get my deposit back. Then when I tried to do that they were rude and not very nice a total let down since they were referred by someone whom I trusted I wouldn’t waste my time. What happened to good customer service?? They were very prompt over the phone. But, I was unable to be present at the time of installation. (my mis fortune) They were gone when I got back to my car. This is what I saw...the installer inside the car cracked the dash foam with either his elbow or the heel of his foot. Also they left in such a hurry, they never cleaned the glass or the finger smudges off the trim. Inside the car, scrap rubber bits were all over the interior. I was never given a receipt for the work and when finally returned my multiple calls, He promised to send a receipt, but never did. So of course , I have no proof of their nonprofessional work ethic. In addition to their unsatisfied work, I was sold a windshield that had a imperfection in the glass that can not be repaired !! *11/8/2009 via Direct* --- **DareShaver** - 1/5 > I called A1 Auto Glass to get a price quote for a windshield a day before my installation and they said it would be $145.00 for Pilkington brand stamped and $130.00 for the China FUYAO brand stamped. I told the office clerk I wanted to order the Pilkington brand stamped since the don't have Carlite brand stamped. The next I called to have the Pilkington windshield ordered and installed. The installer got to my home and to notice that he was in a hurry because he got into my vehicle and ripped off my dash mat and almost put holes in it were the velcro went. Then he began to take off the old windshield seal and scratched my paint around my windshield with the tool he was using. The next thing I saw that he got the wrong windshield and i asked him about it but I could not really understand his English, he had the China FUYAO windshield and he said,"it's the same as OEM and Carlite Brand." So he installed the windshield to my vehicle. I had to call their office 4 times asking where the installers of my windshield were. Their response was "in an hour". This was told to me a total of 4 times and lasted over 4 hours. When they finally arrived, it seemed as though they were in a race against time which resulted in an incomplete installation of my windshield, with the windshield seal not properly seated against sealing surface.Very poor quality customer service and workmanship.
