> Let me start by saying that I can be a real challenge when it comes to dental work primarily due to the dental phobia I've had since childhood. In hindsight, I should have been more proactive with my dental care instead of just seeking care when it was absolutely necessary which is what I did. With the high toxicity of the medicine I take along with having GERD, my teeth were eroding to a point where they would crack and break very easily. My dentist at the time suggested that the best course of action for me was to have all my teeth extracted and to get dentures. Wearing dentures is not an option for me, because every person I know who have dentures (with the exception of a 93 year old mother of a good friend), never wear them and all complain how uncomfortable dentures are and how difficult they make it to eat and enjoy food. My dentist told me to seriously think about it over the next two months. During the following week as I was browsing a photo album, I noticed that every picture of me taken during the past 10 to 15 years, not one of them did I see a smile on my face. Frankly, I was ashamed of my teeth. Some were cracked and some were missing and because of this, even I couldn't look in the mirror without grimacing. Periodically, I would see a Clear Choice commercial on television claiming that (in most instances) with their implant procedure the patient goes home the same day with a beautiful smile. For such an comprehensive surgery, I thought, "How can that be? Only one day and go home afterwards with a beautiful smile?" It must be a come on so I dismissed it as such, however, it did give me an idea that perhaps I should look into implants as an option I could accept instead of dentures which I could not accept. So, for the next month I scheduled a number of consultations with specialists in the Bay Area so that I can get a handle on costs and the various implant methods used and then choose the Specialist that would be best for me. While analyzing and comparing all the information I collected, the Clear Choice commercials kept popping up in my mind, so I thought, "Why not just see what they have to offer and find out how they can make such a claim that none of the Specialists I met could say?" I have nothing but time and transportation cost to lose, so I made an appointment for a consultation the next day. So the next day I went to my scheduled appointment at the Daly City location and spent a good hour and perhaps more with a few staff members and many questions were answered. I was so impressed with all the information the staff at Clear Choice provided about the procedure itself, what I can expect to happen during the healing process, what the total cost would be for full upper and lower implants, what the availability would be for a line of credit to help with cost, etc. I decided right then and there that Clear Choice was the best option for me based on all the information they provided me with and signed them to do the full implant procedure. They were chosen not because they had the lowest price (they were actually on the high side), but they were the only Specialist who did send you home after the procedure with a beautiful smile that did not include dentures as every other Specialist wanted me to have. For all intents and purposes, I've found the staff to be absolutely marvelous and a real pleasure to deal with. They're true experts in dental implant field. The entire process from beginning to end takes about eight (8) months for the implant posts to be fully integrated into the jaw bone at which time then I'll have my custom fitted permanent set. I am currently in my fourth month after the implant surgery and I am thrilled with the progress so far. I can look in the mirror once again and be proud of what I now see; a happy person with a gorgeous smile! I have to confess one thing. Now I know what all the big deal is about Selfies! I'm convinced I've taken more Selfies in the past 4 months than Kim Kardas
