I purchased a 5 year warranty with my purchase and the reclining mechanism broke after only 1 year. I filed a claim with Guardian and was denied for insurance stating my warranty only covers accidental damage. It was not intentional so by definition would be an accident right? I called Bobs discount and they contacted Guardian who then sent out a “furniture repair technician” from Furniture solutions network. After a two week wait the “technician” showed up with a tool box took about 50 pictures and stated that he doesn’t fix the furniture he just reports what wrong. After a long explanation of how much people are mean to him because he shows up and does nothing. He also stated he will be sending his report and recommendation picked up his unused tool box and left. Today I received an email stating a new reason for denial now they say the reclining mechanism isn’t covered under my warranty (accidental or non accidental) and are closing my case. If you purchase a warranty on a recliner (and the reclining mechanism breaks) I would assume that would be the first thing covered but what do I know. I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing anything from Bobs rip-off furniture and especially to not waste your money on a “5 year warranty” from the scam experts over at Guardian insurance.","rating":1,"date_published":"2021-11-11"}]}
