Well you have found it! I live in Rancho and will not think twice about driving down to Kinetic in Elk Grove. Like you, I love to ride and riding is one of those things that I like to keep in the enjoyment catagory of my life and psyche. That being said, I have to have a bike shop that keeps me happy and also meets all my cycling needs. For me, this desired experience begins and ends with outstanding customer service. Of course, I also have to have salespeople who are very knowledgable about what they sell and a store that has a great selection of bikes, equiment and apparel. Unfortuantely other bike shops just don't cut it. Yes, you may be able to find a regular sale somewhere else, but let's face it....if it's the second or third time you have purchased the same or a similar item because you received a bad recommendation, was it really a deal? Not to mention the frustration and multiple trips. See... there goes the fun factor.Simply put the service at Kinetic is excellent! Bruce, the owner, is almost always available for questions and is very knowledable about his products and what's happening in the industry. Most importantly, Bruce has a sincere interest in his customers, their needs and he will take the time to speak with you and help you. So you know what to expect before you arrive; the shope is really cool and relaxing. It was designed with a modern uptempo open style vibe that creates an atmosphere that is fun, welcoming and a friendly place to do business.Lastly, they have the best bike fit program around. I've been to bike shops all over the area and have found the people, the service, and pricing at Kinetic well worth the short drive to Elk Grove. More often than not when I get to Kinetic the owner Bruce is almost always there to help. His expertise and friendly approach has won me over and everyone that I have recommended go see him. Bruce's staff also does a wonderful job with or without Bruce's presence. They are just as knowledgable and friendly. I have been involved with mountain bike racing, triathlon, and some hard core training on the road. I find that Kinetic does a great job helping me select the perfect ride for my needs. The shop offers everything from recreational to the highest quality race bikes. The shop is filled with the best display of bicycles (Specialized) and accessories I've found. From the top of the line carbon s-works to child bikes you will find it here! If you need technical assistance or just help choosing your next bike the staff is as professional and friendly as they come. After purchasing a carbon road bike last year I was informed it might be a while to receive it. The staff recommended I consider building the bike if I could not wait. I reluctantly agreed and have been very happy ever since. My Tarmac Pro arrived and was put together in less than 1 week. Pete, the mechanic.... none better period! If your a racer then speak with Cody the shops owners son. He is a past national cyclocross champion/current pro and you'd never know it because he is so humble and helpful.
