My home had a very small roof leak over 15 years, which resulted in extensive dry rot and termite damage to the structural beams supporting high cathedral ceilings.Bartwood gave me a very professional, detailed bid and once selected, began work immediately. My contractor was at my home coordinating the various trades as they removed the roof, removed and replaced enormous beams, and replaced drywall. He met with the building inspector at each step of the process through to final completion. they finished the job quickly and well under budget!I've never used a contractor before and was expecting the worst because of all the horror stories I'd heard. This Just wasn't the case here. The people I dealt with, that work for Bartwood all were exceptionally polite, professional, friendly and courteous. The men they sent to repair everything from the drywall and cabinets under the sink to the outside stucco did an excellent job. Craftsmanship is not a word that you hear a lot of anymore and that is unfortunate. It seems that most "workers" just want to do the job as quick and cheap as possible and do not care about the quality of the work that they do. Bartwood's men were not in a hurry, nor were they slack in getting the job done in a timely manner. It just seems to me that they were more interested in doing the job correctly the first time, in order to satisfy the customer, and that is greatly appreciated. The guys that were at my house were more than willing to not only answer my questions, but to also explain how they were doing their jobs if I asked. The values that were exhibited at my house by the workers reflect on a management team that cares for its customers and doing quality work. The drywall repair and paint job was skillfully done and looks even better than it did before the repairs. I was also very pleased with the re-tacking and cleaning of my carpet. I don't know about the other man complaining about Bartwood being late but they were always on time to my house. They worked fairly quickly, it did take a bit longer in some occasions but it was because of their effort to get a quality job done. They were able to answer all my questions and I was confident from the outset that the job would be done perfectly, and it was. The level of professionalism surprised me. We truly made the right choice! Mark Bautista established excellent communication with us. The workmen worked very hard, taking a short lunch break daily. They seemed dedicated to installing the flooring in a timely manner and even worked on a Saturday! There were a lot of little things that Bartwood did to distinguish themselves from other companies I have worked with, one of them being asking us to take the weekend and note anything that was an issue and they contacted us the following week and addressed one or two minor areas we had noted!
