And, I do understand about the need for their 'enhanced inspection'.  People were always coming up with ways to steal a few more pennies from them.  What I do not understand, however, is why, when I finally got up to the open bay door in line, I see 3-4 of their employees standing around talking & laughing, when they have so many customers waiting!  And, on top of that, I see another scale (turned on) with one of their sorting barrels sitting by it, NOT BEING USED.  When I first got in line, there was also a elderly gentleman leaving saying he would not be returning there again, & that 1 1/2 hrs was way too long to wait, especially when there are other recycling centers about town you can go to, which may pay a bit less, but definitely worth it not to have to wait so long, & I agree.  So I guess they've lost 2 customers today. Wasn't sure how sell my cans, but the employee who I asked explained it to me, and was friendly enough. People make up there minds about businesses in the first few minutes of contact. Well I can't even get that so they get a thumbs down from me.
