The "receptionist" whom I don't know the name of but seemed to look asian or hispanic who spoke fluent spanish respond with "well it takes time to put all the information of the application on the computer." didn't know it takes an hour to input data entry, long task eh? (which by the way was one of there jobs to send us an application via email a day before the appointment, which they failed to do). My mother explained how my father is a manic depression and has difficulties waiting too long and wanted to know how much longer would it be until he sees the doctor, her kind response was...."Well, if you don't want to wait, then you both can leave!"....really? Is the way you deal business with people in an economy like this when you NEED customers. She did not seem to possess adequate knowledge to give us a professional response to our simple questions. Nor did any of the doctors, as they were running back and forth several times checking their computer while my father was with the doctor.In this office, theres a hygienist, doctor and orthodontic, two of which I believe last names end with Ngo, Chau Ngo is the lead dentist, one of the other names are Deme or Demi Vo. but I am not exactly sure. Once my father went in to see the doctor, he wanted to just get a simple cleaning, they took a whole bunch of ex-rays, pretending like there doing something (obviously to charge up the insurance my father is with) to only tell him to take this application and let your primary doctor to consent it so he can get his teeth cleaned. It took THREE HOURS for the doctor to come up with this conclusion? My father was so surprised and has never heard of anything like this, he asked her why couldn't you just tell me this when I came into into your office? Her finals words were....." I can't do nothing." My Father ended up leaving peacefully, he right away called his insurance company to file a compliant, they stayed on the phone with us for a good 30 mins taking all the information of what happened down, feeling very embarrassed (since they were the ones who referred this doctor to us). My advice to everyone reading this honestly is to rethink your options before going to this place or even any doctor. Newport Dental in Fullerton is not in a good area, not professional and the customer service is below expectation, which is a big factor to any business. Listen to all the previous reviews, it'll safe you alot. And to that receptionist, someone needs to tell her to leave naughty attitude at home! That rudeness won't get you any where. I was surprised to see the 5 stars from the other reviewers until I looked at the dates with 5 reviews in a couple of days. Obviously written by the staff. When I went, they wrote a list procedures I needed and said my insurance wouldn't cover them. I checked later and they were lying. They recommended about $8,000 in work. They have a "salesperson" come in after your checkup to talk about financing. What a scam! One of the reviews even talks about how their program is so much better than other insurance.
