In the lamb curry lunch special, there were about four average cubes of lamb drowning in sauce. It was average Indian food but by no means the best I've had in LA. Three bucks for a coke and five bucks for a mango lassi is ridiculous. Between two people sharing an appetizer, the drinks listed above and two lunch specials, the bill was over $50. That's even steep for a to-die-for lunch special but certainly not worth it for this place. If you're in the area and looking for a curry lunch, check out Sedthee Thai up the street on Brand or take the trip to Robina's Indian Food in North Hollywood. Tucked into a small strip mall in Montrose, this mom and pop's place has 8 tables. But don't let if fool you! The food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is homey. My favorite dish is the eggplant, of which I've never had better. Truly. Great food, reasonable prices - can't ask for anything better.
