> This place makes me want to get creative. They have selection of art supplies you don't find at Michaels etc. Fantastic toy selection as well gift section. The only thing is everything is crammed in and the customer service can use some improvement. My favorite thing though is that they carry artist Arpi Krikorian's items!

> I am a loyal customer of Swain's Glendale and on the average, I shop 6x a month for my obsession which is painting. I have ignored their unenthusiastic sales staff just because I am more concerned about my art than the way they treat customers but today, I was treated rudely by a staff who I can only describe as the one that has a lot of rings on her fingers. I returned an acrylic paint because when I squeeze the tube, liquid came out after which the paint came out too stiff and not buttery as the usual way it comes out. That lady said that I used it. If this lady was thinking she should know that I was gonna use it but I can't because of the poor quality of the paint. I felt insulted, and later livid because how dare she insinuate that I used it before returning it. I have bought more than a thousand dollars worth of art materials from this store, why would I bother being dishonest with a $13 worth of paint. This lady did not even bother apologizing. I have to bear the snobbish attitude of these sales staff just because of my passion.
