I rent U-Hauls about 3-5 times a month and never had a problem, at all.  The paid employees at this U-Haul location are GREAT! (which is why I am giving them a 3 instead of the 1).  My concern is that I called at 1PM of the due date to inform them directly that I was on the way there and that it would be returned about 1 hour past time of the rental from the previous day.  The person on the phone (who I found out, later, to be the owner) then informed me that I would have to pay for an extra day.  He went on to explain that it didnt matter if it was 1 hour or 24 hours late....... I would still have to pay for another day.  I agree that it was an hour late and told him politely that I will just return it the next day since I was already being charged...... Here is the part that blows me away: The owner then DEMANDED that I bring it back that day since it was already rented at 4:30PM by another party.  I asked, \"If you are charging me for another day, why are you demanding I bring it back?  I can bring it back right now so your 4:30 will have it with hours to spare.  But if you are charging me for another day, I can definitely use it for another day\"  The conversation started getting heated and the owner finally said \"if you dont bring it back right now, I will charge you another $75 TOP OF THE second day\".... I was speechless.  I said \"if you feel you must do it, then you lost a customer\".  The next day, the manager (WHO WAS AMAZING TO WORK WITH) informed my that I was, indeed, speaking to the owner and WAS charged the extra $75.  Needless to say, the owner was unavailble at the time.  The owner did receive an extra unwarranted $100 from me, but ended up losing thousands from continued business from my company.","rating":3,"date_published":"2011-11-01"}]}
