The Vet came up with a menu of test procedures totaling $1900 dollars.  When I said that I could not afford $1900 he told me I could choose which tests to have done.  Isn't that his job?  Isn't he the expert?   I paid money for the basic exam and left. I went to a different vet the next week was given good advice about the skin and a medication for an ear infection for under $60.
