> You may want to think twice before choosing "The Coffee Cup" as your place to have breakfast or lunch. The customer service sub-standard !!! The food was just okay.Somewhere along the line they forgot that the customer is what keeps you in business. Don't settle for sub-standard treatment !!!In that area there are many fine breakfast and lunch spots with great customer service, and, food that is delicious!!!I would suggest that you go somewhere else.

> My dining experience was not a good one!! Being a regular diner to restaurants, I am aware of the 1st impression being the most important one. After eating at this Restaurant, I was greeted by a Greeter named "Tony". After standing around for a long period of time, I finally went to the front register and spoke with Lindsay, she was a very responsive individual despite she was probably overworked. She said, oh, no one told you, you have to put your name on the Clickboard. It is quite embarrassing to have a food server not acknowledge you when you arrive and then forget about you after you are in the Restaurant. And, then, when you are seated, no apologies to say, I am sorry for your wait, madam. The most disturbing thing about the dining experience, Food Server Lindsay never communicated to my business associate, there was a charge for the Egg White Spinach Omelette. No food server should take your guest check from your table without telling you why he has taken your dining check after it has been presented. And, the most disturbing concern, there was a higher price added to the check. No explanation in advance. We had to ask what the charges were! It was our assumption because of the poor service during the beginning of our dining experience, there would be a complimentary beverage or something to compensate for poor service or lack of communication to us as a dining guest. Spending 30+ years in the restaurant industry, I am very shocked to hear a "Co-dependent " response from the Owner, Cindy the following day. Her first comment,"Oh, you must have never been to our restaurant on weekends for the wait." No, I have not Cindy, this is Tuesday, a weekday. Oh, it happens sometimes on those days too. unquote unquote....It would have been nice if she had communicated, I apologize for the wait and the not so effective communication from my staff during your dining experience. No apologizes, no concerns for the viewpoint from the customer, no respect for payingcustomer and the 20% tip left for Lindsay and Tony for serving us. This is the comment which she said to me--Maybe you should find another type of restaurant to go to or in other words, we do not want your business because youare critizing my loyal employees of 8 years since I purchased this restaurant approximately 16 years ago. It is so sad, a professional owner cannot accept Constructive Criticism from a discerning customer to improve her restaurant. And, finally, are you ready? "My business associate ordered - hot tea. The server, Tony brought out 3 tea bags. And, she said to me. This seems a little different. The last time we had breakfast here before, there were more tea bags as a selection. And, because my business associate comes into this restaurant often, she had ordered tea before. I think she said, I use 2 tea bags sometimes to make a cup of hot tea. The owner, Cindy, made this unbelievable comment to me. My food server said, the last time, you were here before, We saw you took a large number of tea bags with you!!! This is appauling! This is insulting! This is unprofessional! This is an unbelievable comment from an owner to accuse a guest of taking tea bags. Are we counting tea bags in our dining experiences? Or is there people watching guests and seeing how many sugars, sweet n low are taken from table, why do you feel your employees are so righteous and so upright? Or could it be the fact, there was another undercurrent coming from this restaurant's staff towards their women guests. Needless to say, we will never visit this restaurant ever again. Please be aware of this type of treatment in small mom and pop restaurants and how the employees tell the managers about you and when you come back into the restaurant, you are treated very differently. This is not okay.
