> Barry Abshear took $96,000, abandoned the job and left our yard unusable and hazardous. Received $28,500 in bond payouts already. There is no remaining bond for 2016 or 2017.  CSLB has an investigation pending due to our complaint. Abshear has been unlicensed since May 2017 and was unlicensed, in part, during 2016. The pictures show the state of our project. The structures were built by another contractor but for the unpermitted back wall to the cabana that Abshear built. Permits were part of the agreement although none were pulled. Gas lines were installed incorrectly and never fixed or permitted. Our yard is full of trenches and exposed gas lines. Going to cost $50-65,000 to complete. We had to re-buy all of the hardscape like fire bowl, fireplace, etc. that we already paid Abshear for.

> Horrendous experience! Took our money and ran. Unresponsive...won't perform the remainder of the contract. Broken promises and lame excuses one after the other. We spent $100,000 and have dirt, open trenches, pipes, and debris.
