I know this little Vietnamese restaurant/market in Chinatown, which I don't even know the name of, and I've been going there for years. They serve really great Vietnamese Noodle soup and other great dishes, and it's always full of Vietnamese people. Gingergrass is not in that league, BUT they do it well in their own way. The ingredients are fresh. That's really great. Even some of the \"authentic\" Vietnamese restaurants give you basil or mint with wilting edges - don't even talk about bean sprouts! For a restaurant in the prime spot in Silver Lake, Gingergrass is not as pretentious as other places and their prices are reasonable.","rating":4,"date_published":"2009-19-02"}]}
