I specifically asked for the thermal imaging of the exterior walls as I suspected that there was some insulation lacking. I picked this company as their website makes a big deal of providing this service.The inspector arrived and inspected the property. He said he found no real issues just some problems with the rafters. He said that the insulation in the walls was ok.When I received the report I noticed that there was a lack of thermal images as I had requested. I contacted the inspector and he said that he doesn't take photos when there is no issue. I requested evidence that there was no issue. He later added some images which he had taken but not the full exterior wall which I requested. After the inspection I notice some roof damage. I checked and saw that I had some rotten wood at the front of the house. This was not noticed by the inspector. I was clearly visible from ground level. Also, I have a large crack in my garage floor which has worked its way to the kitchen, again nothing in the report.I do not believe the inspection was worth $399. Now I have to get another inspection to investigate the large crack and wood damage. And I will rent a thermal camera from Home Depot, which is what I should of done in the first place. John came out the next day on time, actually he was 30 minutes early. John took his time and performed the home inspection within 1.5 hours. The home was a bit under 1,500 square feet. I followed him around and he did not feel bothered by my questions. So I went online and found home front inspect from their good reviews on yelp. I spoke with Anthony at the office he took the time to listen to what I was experience and he recommended that we have our home tested for mold. The inspector came out 2 days ago and yesterday we got the results which came back with high levels of mold. Omg we are just glad we got someone to come out here asap or who knows what toxic mold we'd be dealing with. We've gone and hired servpro which is coming out on Monday. Meanwhile we are staying at a friends home. I am happy we hired home front inspect. The fees were competitive to other places we called.
