> Since my last review many years ago, I decided to update on Sushi Gen. I am happy to report that the quality of the food here has not changed. It's as good as ever. So I would say that it's still Little Tokyo's best sushi restaurant, and certainly the most crowded, since sometimes you will wait up to 90 minutes to get seated. One time I sat at the bar to eat an omakase meal, which included everything from toro to mirugai. However, most of the time I would come for lunch and dinner eating their sashimi special. This is the most popular lunch item menu, which for $19.50, you get sashimi, soup, cabbage salad, and simmered tofu. This deal was cheaper before, but still reasonable for its price. It's like food to your soul, and the sashimi they use in this platter is simply delicious. You simply can't miss out on it, especially if you are a fan of sashimi. This is probably the most popular sashimi in Los Angeles. I recently did a YouTube video on Sushi Gen, on my channel Rockstar Eater, if you want to see an overview of the restaurant and of course this sashimi lunch deal. I would recommend this place
