> Corey & B & B Builders remodeled a screen porch into an office for our home. They were honest, clean, and efficient. They have since done plenty of work for our family & friends and we have never heard any complaints. I would highly recommend them for any home improvement needs.

> This contractor, B & B Builders, Magalia, CA, uses illegal practices and does not follow the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) rules and regulations.  Use a contractor that has a WRITTEN contract, has Worker’s Comp.  and Liability Insurance.  Don't pay any contractor more than 10 percent or 1000 dollars, whichever is the lesser (as per the CSLB).  If they ask for more money upfront...get another contractor!   This contractor is broke and needs your project to pay for other projects (Misappropriation of funds).  Your project will be subjected to inferior materials and workmanship.  Their price is low but you will not save money even for small projects like windows and French Doors.  This contractor took full payment and completed only half of the contract.  He owes sub contractors, engineers and suppliers in the area.  He has told me countless untruths and fabrications and has led me on with this 3-4 month project and now is almost 2 years and nowhere near completion.  We are not the only homeowners or businesses that are having problems with this company.  Don’t be fooled...Look for a legal contractor with insurance and a contractor’s license is NOT ENOUGH.  Check to make sure the worker’s comp. and liability insurance is current and get a detailed, written contract.   There are several contractors in the Chico, Paradise and Magalia area that are true to their word, legal and follow the rules.  Take your time when hiring a contractor even for a small job.  It will save you time and money in the long run. AS of 9 / 14 / 2011 B & B Builders has a SUSPENDED LIcense from the Contractors State License Board.  B & B Builders cannot contract.
