> The people who run this place are criminals. We booked our wedding with them for next summer and they cancelled on us-- literally CANCELLED our WEDDING DAY after signing a legally-binding contract with no cancellation clause with us 5 months ago, citing only "a situation." My entire wedding was planned. Deposits paid and vendors confirmed. Tree, their location manager was completely nonchalant and flippant and offered us literally 0 explanation. She didn't even have the decency to call me after ruining the most important day of my life and costing me thousands of dollars and many, many hours of labor. I had to chase her down before I got a decent response and even her most "heartfelt" response was tepid. She did literally 5 minutes of googling and offered me a completely unhelpful list of other venues in Malibu as some kind of half-baked attempt at rectifying a situation. My best guess is that they are involved in some kind of criminal lawsuit, have been running this business illegally this entire time, or just got a better $ offer and decided -- f**k these people who cares about their wedding. I am also a photoshoot producer, and I have no doubt that if they are this flippant with their wedding business, they must treat their production clients even worse.
