> Amazing Chinese food in the East Bay Area. The service is always quick and attentive, and the food really is, as the name indicates, gourmet. Very budget friendly too - I got soup, a spring roll, broccoli beef, and barbecue pork chow mein for $8.65. Their potstickers and spring rolls are yummy as well. Will definitely come back here!

> I'm BACK on my annual trip up North & got a craving for some Chinese food while in Martinez. Friendly service & pretty clean inside. They have American style Chinese food on their menu but I would go for the Chinese style stuff - more authentic. Apparently they have new Sichuan/Szechuan additions & Korean-Chinese additions to the menu. To started it off we ordered:Crab Meat Puffs (crunch goodness stuffed with creamy crab goodness wrapped in crunch wonton goodness) - I wish someone would learn to make this in LA. Family style meal with my friends:1) Honey Walnut Shrimp - crispy & not too sweet - delicious - nothing was left!2) Yang Jang Pi (sp?) - (see photo) it was this crazy assorted dish of jelly fish body slivers, sea cucumbers, calamari, egg, carrots, cucumber slices, mussels, shrimp, pork and covered in a hot mustard sauce. Be wary of the sauce - it can be spicy! But they were smart & brought it out on the side. Whew - tasty seafood/pork platter that was HUGE! Couldn't finish it between the 5 of us!3) Tea flavored Duck - this had an interesting smoky flavor to it. I forgot to take a pix 'cos once I heard "duck" I just plowed right in. I actually prefer their Roasted Duck w/ the crispy skin (this one had a soft skin texture).4) Kung Pao Chicken - like the standard staple at any Chinese restaurant. This one wasn't too salty or oily, which was a definite plus, while still keeping it's flavor. I was still munching on the peanuts after declaring I was stuffed - yeah -addictive like that, I know!5) Chicken/Shrimp with steamed vegetables - kinda reminded me of American-Chinese menu item in LA called Moo Goo Gai Pan - meat w/ steamed veggie in a white sauce. Tasty & I felt healthy afterward (yeah, who thinks healthy after Chinese food - but this dish will make you happy & healthy...at least in my mind haha). So we had no leftovers except for the yang jang pi. So happy there's a good Chinese restaurant in Martinez!
