He does not speak very good english and I am starting to wonder if he was taken advantage of just because of that.The person who worked on it, replaced the starter and it would start but not run properly. It would start and idle very roughly, and they suggested replacing the spark plugs which they did. That didn't help. That alone was $900. AND THE TRUCK WAS STILL NOT RUNNING PROPERLY.He then suggested that we replace the throttle body since the "throttle body service" did not help. That quote was another $600.My dad could not afford it so he took it back to home. I called in and talked to the person who worked on it and he said all he needs is a throttle body and that will fix it.I got the throttle body replaced by a real professional. The car still acted the same way. So we got to troubleshooting the problem a little bit further. We ran a diagnostics scan and some data showed, but most did not which was a little weird.We removed the PCM/ECM (computer) and and checked the wiring....all looked good. It turns out the FUSE for the PCM/ECM WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE.We put that fuse back to it's CORRECT position, and the truck turned on fine with no problems. And as soon as I remove that fuse it would act up again.I think this was a serious scam, and no one should ever conduct business like this.Again, seriously undermining the integrity of this business because I do not know if the fuse was misplaced on purpose or not. Either way, he was not able to fix it without any more money. This should have been corrected by him. Lots of wasted time trying to figure out what the actual problem was. I replaced the throttle body which should have fixed it (he told me personally on the phone), and it turns out to be a fuse after a couple hours of troubleshooting. He and his crew did wonders. I have since taken my car back two other times for little glitches. My parents have saw my awesome experience and started taking their cars there. They have a truck and car. My sister and boyfriend say they will go next time they have a problem with their vehicle. A+ experience every single time. The case was actually with the previous owner for Ford and GM only but the new owner of RM Automotive took care of the situation. *1/4/2010 via Direct* --- **ashleerae** - 5/5 > I went to the dealer and after a day and a half of having my truck they told me i needed new cylinder heads for $3200 worth of repairs. I went to RM Automotive and after test driving my car, they found all i needed was an intake gasket and a coil totaling $680. The guys were very nice and even gave me a ride home! Its nice to know that even though I'm a woman with little automobile knowledge they didn't try to take advantage of me like the dealer.
