> Brittain Commercial stole from my security deposit. I lived in an apartment for about 9 months- signed the lease under a different property manager AND a different property OWNER. Despite a successful pre-inspection before moving out, Brittain retained nearly half of my security deposit to re-paint the living room (of a 500 sqft apartment) and refused to communicate or offer any reconciliation following my objections. On top of this, there was a gas leak in the communal laundry room that they neglected to address for months until PG&E mandated repairs following a fire department call. Unprofessional and negligent property manager.

> I gave a security deposit (not a holding deposit) for an apartment and I ended up not choosing that apartment (especially because of the complications of their sign up process). They held my money and gave me half of my security deposit back (2 months later when I showed up to their office because they apparently "couldn't" mail it to me). 250USD completely lost and taken illegally. After multiple messages I gave up on having the deposit back but I thought I could save someone else some money.
