When I first got there I felt overwhelmed by all of the palette selections being fairly new to using eyeshadow. So after an hour of swatching and debating I finally got the over hyped EARTH HUE palette. As soon as I got home I decided to start playing with the shadows and was IMMEDIATELY disappointed. The mattes barely showed up on my dark skin ( I'm black between mocha and caramel fit me shades through the year) no matter how pretty the mattes looked in their pans they didn't show up on my face at all. I tried using primer and my elf sealing solution for shadows but nada. The pigmentation was super patchy and didn't pick up on the brush well even after giving my brush a sprits with setting spray. I went back the next day and asked what I could do about it since I couldn't return it for my money back. I was told the shadows where patchy because I didn't set my primer. Literally have I never heard of it being required to set primer. Conceler being USED as primer yes but primer by itself ? NO!! I recently went to Sephora and told a seasoned (beauty school graduate) about the sales consultant at pinky rose telling me about setting primer and she gave me the oldest look as if saying, " oh honey who lied to you!!???". This even further upset me about the botched eyeshadows .It took me a month after buying the palette to figure out how to get it to "work". I have to use light conceler and set it then patiently layer the color's several times before they show up on my skin and the blending takes forever because I have to layer on my shadows so much. The last time I did my make up my eyelids where so irritated from all the extra layering and blending I had to do to create the simplest look!!!!!
