The project was a residential addition and their work was flawless. Marc came by my office and we went over the project scope and in a matter of days my plans were done. I took them down to the County of Sacramento and they were accepted and permitted without any comments or changes from the County. The entire process from start of design to obtaining a permit was less than a month. When they came to my house to look at the design I had, they did not intimidate or try to change my design, instead they listened to what my ideas were and what I had to say. A few days after they came and measured my house, they came up with alternative designs to pick from. They came back with my plan and designs within 2 weeks! Although the permit takes a while to come back, it is worthwhile waiting for. Sacramento Design Group is a great place to go to if you have any issues with plans. Their ideas & obvious knowledge of the construction process made them the easy choice over the other people who only seem to have Drafting experience. I knew because our project was to convert our single story home into a two story, we would need someone with construction experience. There are not enough good things I can say about the way they listened to my needs and exceeded my expectations. Because they were able to understand what it was my family wanted and needed in a design, they were able to suggest ideas I never would have thought of. I own a 25 bed Residential Care Facility in Midtown Sacramento and needed someone with expertise in getting me the required building and planning permits at the City of Sacramento planning offices. I made one phone call to SDG and had a meeting with them the next day. At that meeting I hired them on the spot (due to deadlines I had to meet). I was nervous at first but within a week or two I was very confident that the work was getting done in a timely and correct fashion. The work was completed on time, permits issued and the cost did not exceed what was quoted.
