I answered a postcard ad for a cleaning, X rays and a free electric tooth brush all for an introductory cost of $39.00. What a bunch of ripoff con artists. To begin with I was told when I first setup the appointment that they were a computerized and paperless office speeding up the entire process allowing me to walk right in and the dentist would have already reviewed my information etc., if I would go online and fill out the new patient forms. Had to call back two times to get that info sent to me (should have been a flag there).  I arrived 5 min. before my 10:00 appointment only to wait almost 30 min. to be called in.  They tout their all modern and high tech office equipment but had nothing but problems with the X-ray machine and computer, at one time the computer crashed but luckily we didn't have to start all over, this took 45 minutes, NO TIME SAVED HERE YET.  Next, I was moved to another room to speak with dr. Kim who proceeded to tell me I needed $5,370.00 of service and $545.00 of \"deep cleaning work\", WOW!  I go to the Dentist every 6 months and have never been told anything like this before...when I said I would need to think this over we were quickly joined by the hygienist and the office manager (Tatha? who was in-charge of billing).  The three then began an intimidating and high pressure sales pitch ultimately refusing to do a general cleaning on my teeth because they had already informed my insurance company I needed a \"DEEP CLEANING\" and could lose their hygiene license.  I was born at night, but not last night, thanks.  Someone posted that they felt like they were at a used car dealership, that's a perfect way to describe these crooks, only I got the feeling they get paid on a COMMISSION ONLY basis.  I finally got up and left handing the free tooth brush coupon to the receptionist, I asked if that's it and was told I was \"good to go\". No cleaning, no toothbrush, I was done and just WANTED OUT.  Total waste of over TWO HOURS OF MY LIFE.  When I got home I contacted my Insurance Co., they had already been billed $524.00.  This is going to turn ugly and take even more time, run from Bernardo Heights Dental Group","rating":1,"date_published":"2012-15-02"}]}
