He inspires confidence. Implant dentistry especially in crown and bridge cases really is a restoreative procedure with a surgical component. Dr. Al Faraje is a great instructor and I now feel comfortable assessing most implant procedures, grafting most defects, and placing most implants. Of course there was some trepidation in investing both financially and in being away from the office for 2 weeks for the Fellowship Program. It could not have been a better investment. Dr. Al-Faraje's teaching style is very effective. He imparts both knowledge and confidence. Course is well organized and comprehensive. Everything from the basics to advanced material are covered. The facilities and educational material, DVD's etc are all top quality. I combined this with the 4 - Day Live Patient Externship which was equally fantastic. I was able to use the knowledge gained in both the didactic and surgical courses to start placing implants upon completion. The confidence and knowledge gained is irreplaceable. I have gained not only the knowledge of how to place implants but how to treatment plan when results are less than ideal. Dr Faraje wrote the book on complications! Not that we are planning on mistakes, but the incredible knowledge of complications is equally as important as how to place implants. Dr Faraje is excellent at showing you "real world" dentistry. His experience is real and well earned. If anyone is considering placing implants in their practice, do not hesitate to commit to this fellowship. Well worth the commitment. Took the one year fellowship program and learned everything I needed to treatment plan and place implants with confidence. It also prepared me for the ICOI fellowship application. The lectures and supplemental materials were very well prepared and presented with enthusiasm. Lots of camaraderie, faculty was great, wasn't bored for a minute. Even the food was good. After spending thousands of dollars with CII and realizing I was not getting the information I needed from the one year fellowship Dr. Faraje told me the training I needed was in his advanced bone grafting course. I made a reservation to take the advanced bone grafting course with CII but had to cancel the advanced course due to a schedule conflict. Dr. Faraje would not refund $390 of my deposits. I called him several times to try to work it out but he would never take or return my calls. I cancelled several months before the advanced course was scheduled. I will never take another course with CII or Dr. Faraje. I have taken several implant courses.
