I was helping him while he was at work. My husband is a US soldier. He has a family case in CA, we are stationed on the other side of the country. I asked what her retainer fee was. She refused to tell me. She said (even AFTER I stated we are stationed on the other coast) that she would not discuss this with us over the phone and need to have a sit down consultation and asked if we are free next week. I told her that we can not afford plane tickets just for a consultation. She requested my husband calls her when he gets off work. My husband calls her and had to ask at least 4 times what the retainer fee was. She wanted to know our payment information and case number so she can bill immediately. Ummm... we were only asking what the retainer fee was. She kept being rude until my husband started speaking Spanish.
