I recalled their cakes tasted so unbelievably delicious  back in the 1970s. In 2008, I took my oldest daughter to San Francisco to celebrate her 16th birthday. We strolled into Dianda's, and it was as if nothing had changed in 30 years. Their pastries were the only boyhood food I ate that tasted as good as I recalled. Pizzaries I frequented lost their edge. Mexican restaurants weren't the same any longer. Dianda's has stood the test of time. I returned again in 2016 with my father and brother. Once again, their pastries did not disappoint.
