The first time I went the male dentist and the office manager were rude, but because my teeth needed care I went back again. My next visit wasn't so bad becasue they had switch to a new female dentist and she was okay. But I dreaded every visit to that office because of the office manager. She never explained the treatment I needed or the cost. I asked many times for a treatment plan and the cost of each treatment, but she never provided it. I was informed that before the dentist could start work on my teeth I needed to have a fluoride treatment that cost $200 and was not covered by the insurance. I asked if I had to have it and was told the dentist would not work on my teeth without this procedure. So I paid the $200 and had the fluoride treatment done. They didn't schedule a follow up for me and when I didn't from them for 2 months I called them. They said I was suppose to call them to schedule my next appointment. So during the next six months I only had one crown done and a filling. I was worried about scheduling an appointment because I wasn't sure what they were going to work on and how much it was going to cost me, because again they never gave me a list of the work that needed to be done and the cost. By the end of 2008 I had 3 holes that needed crowns and 1 partial broken tooth and who knows what else. I was in worse shape then I walked into that office. But all the office manager cared about was that I had the money to paid. During my last visit I called the office in the morning to confirm my appointment and spoke with the office manager. We talked about my insurance and confirmed it was still valid. When I arrived for my appointment she asks for my $500 co-pay for the crown. I said you never mentioned it this morning and I didn't believe my co-pay was that high. She started yelling at me in front of my sister and son, saying it was my responsibility to know how much I needed to pay for each visit. She accused me of being difficult and saying if I didn't keep the visit I would owe the cancellation fee. I explained that she never gave me a treatment plan or share of cost statement even though I always ask for one. She said that it was not her responsibility to tell me my co-pay and that I should know what it is, eventhough she never told me a what the cost of a crown was or sent me a bill showing what my insurance paid in the past. During every visit to that office I became extremely stressed becasue the office manager was rude and bossy. During one visit she stood over the dentist telling her what to do. In 2009 I switch insurance plans and I could have kissed my employer. I went to another dentist who within 6 months has fixed all of my issues, by providing a treatment plan and showing me my share of cost. I was able to budget and schedule appointments to get the work done without the stress. I would never go there again and would never recommend someone to go there unless they want to pay more, get yelled at and not get work done on their teeth.","rating":1,"date_published":"2009-15-07"},{"author_name":"joesal","review_text":"You're probably looking for a good, honest and reliable dentist.
