My elderly dog has been plagued by severe arthritis and the only solution I was previously given was to put her on NASIDS. The side effects where so bad that she could not tolorate the medication. Dr Toman came up with a plan combining a variety of natural remedies/ moderate exercise and a dramatically smaller amount of NASID. It took time but it worked! She is a new dog - happy and healthy!","rating":5,"date_published":"2012-03-07"},{"author_name":"rerussell2","review_text":"I am happy to see that there are 2 other people who had a good experience with this Vets office. Unfortunately I had a much different experience. Upon meeting the Dr and explaining the health problems of my 15 year old Lhasa Apso along with the problem i face being on a fixed income, he was at first reassuring. \"Just bring her in! no worrries we can work with you!\" Great, i thought, Ive finally found some help for Charlie Anne! After a fifteen minute exam he explained he would need to put her under to examine her more thoroughly. The main reason I brought her in was for an ear infection. After he examined her he said she had a molar that was infected and would need to pull it. Most of her teeth have fallen out on their own but I agreed to have him do this. When he was done with the treatment ears, tooth nails etc. my bill came to a price of over $300. I will credit him for letting him let me pay this in 3 installments. For 2 weeks my dog saw some relief. After 6 weeks her ear infection came back and even worse. When I had her bathed the groomer mentioned that the antibiotic I was given obviously did not work. I called the office and spoke to his wife who runs the office. When i explained my situation she said somewhat abruptly \"What would you like us to do?\" taken back by this comment I asked if i could get more antibiotic? She said that it would cost me to have her examined again. Maybe I just don't understand how it works although after spending over $300 to have her ears treated, her getting relief for only a few weeks i thought maybe since his initial treatment didn't work he may see us again on a complimentary basis.I was wrong!!! i wasn't sure if i wanted to bother again to get help from Mission Animal Hospital. Today I decided since Charlie Ann is getting worse to give him a call. The Vet did call me back and said unfortunately that considering her age i would most likely have to have her ears treated every 3 to 4 months under anesthesia. He said just giving her medicine would do nothing to help her. So for another who knows how much money, he recommends I put her under to give a treatment that only helps her for 2 weeks at a time? The other disturbing thing is that at the initial meeting he never once mentioned i would have to have this done every few months. Not only did I NOT get my Dog on track at this place, it has disheartened me. I guess because I had to pay in payments I just don't get the respect of the other customers with $$. He mentioned to me that he knows nothing of there being Animal insurance and maybe i should just take her to the Human society Dr. It is clear that having a satisfied customer and the Hippocratic oath means nothing here.This was not a good experience for me and most importantly my dog Chartlie Ann at all.","rating":1,"date_published":"2012-12-06"},{"author_name":"karissa.mikla","review_text":"This is the most amazing vet I have ever been to! I have a 5 year old pug who has had her fair share of vet visits and surgeries. I was fed up with Animal Care Clinic's nickel & diming and lack of customer care- I had given up on vets in the area, until Mission Animal Hospital came to town. The doctor visited with us as he sat on the ground, and played with my pup. Their bedside (or I should say kennel-side) manners are a blessing and their customer service is top of the line. I will not take my pup anywhere else! Thank you Mission Animal Hospital!","rating":5,"date_published":"2012-31-05"},{"author_name":"ebinslo","review_text":"I've taken my dog to a few places over the years, including Animal Care Clinic and the vet clinic in AG, and I found Mission hospital to exceed my experiences from those clinics. Its a smaller clinic ran by a husband and wife. It was very clean and the staff were great to my pet. They truly seemed to care about the animals and I didn't feel pressured to get any additional services that weren't needed unlike ACC. I would refer my friends and family to take their beloved pets here. These are really good people.","rating":5,"date_published":"2012-20-04"}]}
