Ken appreciated everyone so much.  The nursing staff gave him encouragement that he needed to keep his spirits up and a gentleness that made him feel worthy of their help.  Dr. Ekstrand treated Ken's sister with respect and compassion when she called for communication and he answered her questions thoughtfully.
