Very good location, and Hugo was really good and had excellent dinner recommendations.  Tip if you want to visit Alcatraz, book ahead online or you will not get tickets without extreme measures!  Hotel is not fancy, but it's clean and serves the purpose.  Nice, relaxing lobby.  This is a pet friendly hotel, which was a nice touch if you're someone who likes dogs. I must say this is better than any other 3 or 4 star property and better than some of the 5 stars I've been to.  Located ust a couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf and within walking distance of all municipal transportation, the Tuscan Inn at Fisherman's Wharf will pamper you in every way, without digging too deep into your wallet.This was our first trip flying into San Francisco, and not being familiar with SFO or the transit system, it took a bit of Q & A to get to our hotel without any major problems.  The concierges are very efficient at what they do.  We particularly liked Hugo who gave new meaning to the word 'service.'  The room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet.  Those wishing to sleep in late in the morning will have no problem doing so since the room completely darkens.  We stayed for five nights in February and loved every minute of it.","rating":5,"date_published":"2009-03-03"}]}
