His attention to the patients needs and his understanding go along way. I notice some complaints were directed because of long waits, or Doctor being out, which I find a bit discourteous. This is a clinic for comprehensive treatment. This is not a 20 minutes, get your pills, and go place. You will see a nurse, maybe a PA, and the Doctor. It will not be fast, it will be thorough. Before you make any decision on treatment, you will know what it is and why you are doing it. This IS the place for spine and orhtopedics because they do take time. I have been seeing Dr. Moelleken, for my back, As for tests and office visits I find this to be a real plus, if you diagnose the problem and try non invasive ways to correct the issue before going right to surgery I feel this is the proper way to practice medicine. Everyone hears the horror stories about back surgery I did as well from one of my closest friends who has had 3 back surgeries and continued to experience debilitating pain. I recommended he see Dr. Moelleken who reviewed his case examined him looked at his MRI and X-rays and got him on a regiment of physical therapy which now has him playing golf again without pain. Now for my story, after trying several treatments including injections I realized that in order to fix my back problem I would have to have surgery. I travel extensively overseas and lugging a suitcase on and off airplanes and long flights are all really bad for the back. At the end of last year I really hurt my back lifting a suitcase overhead on a crowded train. When I returned Dr. Molleken ordered an MRI and told me that my only option now was to have the surgery. (2 herniated discs and spinal stanosis) I had the surgery at the Surgery Center in the Spine and Ortho Center on December 6th and today I feel like I am 20 years old again, all the pain is gone I feel 100% better than I have felt in many years. The entire staff prior to and after the surgery were wonderful from the second I walked in the door till the time I left.
