My daughter and I appeared in court about 6 weeks later, and she received a "sentence" of 90 days in jail or two years probation on her drivers license. We left court that day needing a criminal atty in order to reappear in court 3 weeks later. I "found" Darryl Genis thru an ad in a local newspaper. After speaking with him in his office, we retained him to help us get a lighter sentence or get it reduced down to traffic violations. My daughter and I travelled from Oceanside to Santa Barbara for two more court dates, entrusting Darryl with his knowledge and his years of practice in the area that he would be able to get a reduced sentence for my daughter. The outcome was very favorable, he was able to get her criminal offense reduced down to traffic court where she had to complete traffic school and pay a minimal fine.
