> Very pretty hotel, premium location across from the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. I little pricey $300 plus for our room, but we had a lovely room on the top (4th) floor with a balcony with a little table and 2 chairs, even a light to read by if you wanted to. It was quite private due to the design of the building. The room and bath were very clean with a king-sized bed, and crisp white sheets. The shower was the whole width of the bathroom, with a rain shower spray and glass wall. You could actually look out at the beach while you showered! No one could see in the window from anywhere. The people were lovely. Parking was an extra$30 a day, but cheaper than anywhere else. They have valet parking, but we were able to park in a handicap space on the main floor. Security was mostly provided by needing a key card to operate the elevator, which was fine by me. It's a small hotel, so you don't get on the elevator with anyone else most of the time. There was someone on duty at the desk all night, I think. There was always someone there when we were coming and going.
