> This Gelsons is great.  They have beautiful flowers, and even found some Melissa & Doug toys which was perfect for a birthday party gift that I hadn't shopped for. Marisol was very helpful.

> Recently redone ... not too much differently than it was prior to the remodel however ... it has the best produce in town and really the only acceptable deli selection.  Parking can be tight at peak hours.  The kids love the small carts and balloons that they get to come home with.

> Gelsons is all about an enjoyable shopping experience.  The selection on fresh items (meat, fish, vegetables...) tend to be sufficient.  It's a great experience, but at a cost as most prices are in the whole foods and above range.

> Definitely the priciest supermarket in the neighborhood, but they do offer much better quality produce and deli items. I have used them for catering in the past and have always been impressed by the offerings. Love the "eyeshadow" lady at the deli counter who calls everyone "sweetheart." Lots of celeb sightings, too.

> Moving near Silverlake, I was excited to see a branch of this upscale grocery chain.  Sorry to report the quality isn't up to par with it's westside bretheren.  The volume is too low for the high-end cheese and deli products to consistently be fresh and the staff seems to have been instructed to "push out the old stuff."  Three tries at getting fresh deli turkey sliced off the beautuful display in the deli case were met with pre-sliced dried-out batches that were leftover from a lunch project.  Not the Gelsons I'm used to!
