I sccheduled an appointment with Dr. Clayton Lau becuas I had heard that SPCC is one of only a couple places that have robotic trained physicians. I was immediately impressed with the feel of the cancer center. The staff were excellent and the facilities were beautiful (much like a spa). I was surpised that so many physicians from all different specialties in cancer all worked in one center. I have been to other \"cancer centers\" like the one at Huntington Memorial Hospital and they don't even employ physicians. They only have radiation equipment which presumably allows them to call the place a cancer center. Any way, Dr. Lau explained that PSA's can be inaccurate and that before doing a biopsy or anything else, the test should be repeated. Even though was skeptical, I did repeat the test. Sure enough, my PSA was well below 2 in normal limits. Before coming to South Pasadena Cancer Center, my other physician was quick to want a biopsy of the prostate which, no one should have to go thorugh without reason.","rating":5,"date_published":"2009-31-10"}]}
